I just found the notes for a sermon I delivered probably eight years ago. I skimmed them, very briefly, careful not to read too many words before burying them in the shred bin.

I think what scares me the most about them, and my past, is the unbridled naivety. Sort of like my life right now...

I think naivety is just something that goes along with being a teenager - which you were at the time of that sermon.

If we were all walking around as toddlers with completely developed senses of self and understanding of God and the world, where would we have to grow? What would we have to learn?

Just a thought to add to your thoughts.
